Associate Accountant

Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Global Treasury,the Associate Accountant will assist with general Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable functions and support the needs of the Finance & Accounting team in a manner that demonstrates, “Everything is Important.”

This position is hybrid based out of Carson, CA.

Essential Functions

• Daily posting of cash payments in the bank & preparation of associated reporting

• Assist the AP team with the weekly vendor pay cycle

• Full cycle invoice processing – including 3-way matching & entry into NetSuite

• Organization & filing of corporate documents

• Research transactions and resolve issues, recommending corrective actions

• Communicate with internal & external stakeholders in a timely and collaborative manner

• Support the F&A team with various ad hoc and audit requirements

• Assists with other accounting projects in the office

• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Education and/or Experience

• 1 -2 years accounting experience or similar

• High school diploma or GED, Bachelors degree preferred

• Basic MS Excel knowledge

• Basic accounting knowledge (Debits & Credits)

Preferred Technical Skills and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent

• Experience with NetSuite, QuickBooks or similar ERP system

Skills/Abilities and Attributes

• Fundamentalexperiencein USGAAPandfinancialreportingtechnicalskills

• Hands-on experience with accounting, ERP, MRP, CRM software packages(i.e.,QuickBooks, MS Dynamics, GreatPlains,MAXX,Sugar, Salesforce, Navanandothers),and working with general ledgers

• Strong analytical, project management, computer, communication, and writing skills (typing, spelling, grammar)

• Hands-on experience with Excel and other Microsoft products like Outlook and Word

• Ability to communicate and collaborate with diverse co-workers and personalities

• Ability to quickly learn, absorb, and apply existing knowledge to improve processes

• Team oriented, with a strong ability to quickly pull data when requested

• Excellent time management and prioritization ability to balance multiple responsibilities

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Physical Demands/Work Environment

• Must be able to work in a seated position for extended periods

• Must be able to use fingers, hands, and arms at computer keyboard for extended periods

• Must have ability to speak clearly and distinctly, hear and be heard and understood both in person, by telephone, and by email

Compensation

The starting pay range for this position is between $22.00 - 28.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined by skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
