Spherion Staffing is interviewing experienced Maintenance Technicians in the Carrington, ND area. The Senior Maintenance Technician position is responsible for providing technical direction to the maintenance team and works to improve productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays in a timely manner and without risk of product contamination.

Schedule: Tues-Sat, 1:30pm-10pm Pay: $29/hour

Responsibilities: -Plan and schedule maintenance activities, including reviewing and updating MP-2 documentation, tracking equipment maintenance, the availability and procurement of parts and equipment, and scheduling staff -Perform preventative/predictive maintenance on process systems to include; mill, production, packaging, utility, and other facility equipment -Report on maintenance activities, training and orientation of employees, and identify and implement cost saving ideas as necessary -Lead site maintenance, including all buildings, grounds, and equipment -Complete aspects of human resource management including performance management, training, and coaching within company policy and regulatory compliance

-Promote efficient initiatives through participation, training, and staff engagement in continuous work improvement activities -Perform Emergency Evacuation procedures, including documentation requirements -Proactively identify and execute on continuous improvement opportunities in the areas of: safety, food safety, quality, productivity, and sanitation -Other duties, as assigned

Requirements: -Two-year associates degree or higher in technical field (mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, electro-mechanical, controls and automation, etc.) or equivalent -3+ years hands-on experience in a mechanic, maintenance, electrical, electro-mechanical, controls and automation, or related role, or equivalent education -Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime -3+ years leadership experience -Previous maintenance experience in a food manufacturing facility -Previous experience reading blueprints and schematics -Previous experience with MIG, TIG, and stick welding -Previous experience with power transmission components; belt drives, chain drives, bearings, motors and gears -Previous experience with drill presses, lathes, Bridgeport-type mills -Experience with operation and maintenance of forklifts, scissor lifts, and articulated lifts
