MISO Energy Data Governance Analyst in Carmel, Indiana

Description

As MISO’s Data Governance Analyst , you will be instrumental in managing and optimizing data governance tools and processes, focusing on metadata management and data quality. You will be responsible for the metadata repository, supporting data quality, and supporting automation efforts to ensure the integrity and accessibility of our data assets. Contribute to shaping MISO's data governance approach by helping design and implement enterprise standards and transform how the organization leverages data to uncover insights and drive strategic decision-making.

Your responsibilities as MISO’s Data Governance Analyst include:

  • Managing and enhancing enterprise governance management system (e.g., data glossary, catalog, quality) across the organization.

  • Implementing data quality standards and monitor accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data.

  • Collaborating with data practitioners to embed governance processes.

  • Maintaining documentation for data governance processes and standards.

  • Providing first-level support for data governance tools, including troubleshooting and basic configuration.

Skills needed for our Data Governance Analyst role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field and a minimum of two (2) to four (4) years relevant hands-on work experience.

  • Proven experience managing and enhancing enterprise metadata management systems (data catalogs) and processes being integrated into an organization.

  • Experience enhancing and optimizing data governance tools and metadata management processes.

  • Experience collaborating across areas, embedding data governance into business operations and facilitating data-driven decision making.

Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.
