MISO Energy Azure Data Architect in Carmel, Indiana
Description
As MISO’s Azure Data Architect, you will:
Design, propose, and develop solutions focusing on current data needs and building long-term strategic data capabilities.
Create and maintain clear documentation that outlines the structure, key decisions, and requirements of the business solution, ensuring the reasoning behind the approach is clear and well-understood.
Define and own end-to-end technical solutions for data projects, support delivery teams to make optimal technical decisions.
Create design artifacts and decision records providing traceability.
Collaborate with the Enterprise Architecture team to ensure alignment with overall IT strategy and technology roadmap.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to business areas, technology partners, and other domain experts.
Establish and refine framework and tools for solutions delivery – guard rails for data solutions, automated reviews, creation of accelerators.
To be successful as our Azure Data Architect , we’re looking for the following skills:
At least 5 years of data architecture, data engineering, analytics, or similar role experience.
Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable and secure data architectures on Azure.
Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (preferred).
Experience with cloud platforms, such as Azure, to manage and integrate data systems.
Experience with cloud infrastructure, storage optimization, and query optimizations.
Experience with data governance, meta-data management, and data quality
Enterprise-scale technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, database migrations, and technology management.
Experience in moving data from on-premises data platforms to cloud and designing cloud-native data warehouse platform.
Experience working with transactional, temporal, time series, and structured and unstructured data.
Ability to design and model databases, data warehouse, and data flow infrastructures.
Understanding of data integration and the tools to manage data flow.
The appropriate level will be determined based on experience and knowledge.
