A national non-profit headquartered in Carmel has an immediate opportunity for an Accounting Specialist on a full-time, contract to hire basis. The Accounting Specialist will work closely with the accounting and finance team with primary responsibilities of processing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Day to Day Job Duties Include:

• Reconciling bank accounts

• Providing support for journal entry creation

• Processing accounts receivable including posting customer payments, billing and monthly statements

• Processing accounts payable including entering vendor invoices, reviewing vendor statements for accuracy and creating check and wire payment batches for vendors

• Working with customers and vendors to research and reconcile any discrepancies

• Creating ad-hoc reports in Excel

  Requirements

• 2+ years of accounts payable and accounts receivable experience

• Proficiency in accounting softwares such as Blackbaud / Financial Edge, QuickBooks, etc.

• Intermediate proficiency in Excel

• Availabity to work in office Tuesday through Thursday

• Attention to detail

• Team player

• Excellent communicator
