Job Description:•Interpret machine manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings relative to equipment assigned.•Experience in wiring machinery is required.•PLC installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.•VFD (AC drives) installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.•Understanding appropriate safety requirements including lockout/tag-out, arc flash practices, etc.•Repair and adjust conveyor systems using hand tools and power tools.•Install belts in machinery, tighten bolts, adjust tension rolls, straighten parts, align rollers, and replace defective parts.•Perform preventive maintenance and provide customer support.•Possess the ability to install, repair, service, test and troubleshoot an assortment of equipment.•Fill out detailed reports and keep records of services that have been performed.•Explain issues with equipment and repairs to customers and management, when necessary.•Train and mentor other service technicians.Requirements:•Ability to work flexible hours and work around regular hours for emergency calls.•Ability to work independently or as a member of a team.•Ability to effectively manage time.•Mechanically able to hand all repairs/ have the skill set to find the solution (i.e read the equipment manuals)•Knowledge in details all types of conveyors and associated components•Skill set and knowledge to perform p.ms on all conveyor systems including sortation systems.•Have the ability to provide detailed reports following repairs and pm's.•Certifications in all lift equipment.•Certifications in OSHA and Safety Knowledge.•Mechanically and electrically able to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair conveyor systems as required during PM’s or repair calls.•Maintain a working knowledge of spare parts inventories as needed for current PM contracts-inform Supervisor when replacement parts or when parts are used so that can be reordered.•Responsible for maintaining FlowTrack (inventory system). Points of contact will be provided.•Capable of comprehending all blueprints, plans, schematics or manuals.•Capable of working with remote support from manufacturers and PLCs/control houses.•Interface positively with customers via email and in person.•Maintain and promote a safety-first culture, best practices, and positive attitude.•Must be able to meet physical requirements of the job, which include bending, lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.•Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.•Fluent in English, Spanish language skills are a plus.You will have experience with all or most of the following systems:•MDR Conveyor•Live Roller Conveyor•Inclines / Declines•Belt Driven Roller / Chain Driven Roller•Belt Conveyor•Trash Conveyor•Line-shaft Conveyor•Sorters - Narrow Belt / UBT / Shoe Sorters•Bombay Sorters, Tilt Tray Sorters•Monorail / Power and Free•VRC’s•Truck Loaders / Unloaders
