As a Physical Therapist Assistant, at Carlsbad Medical Center, you'll play a vital role in doing what you do best- providing quality care to our patients. Requirements:

  • Associate's degree from an accredited program

  • Licensure as a physical therapist assistant in the state of New Mexico

  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

About the Job:

  • Assists a Physical Therapist with a patient's rehabilitative activities to help reduce pain and improve mobility.

  • Assists in exercise instruction and demonstration, patient evaluation and testing.

  • Works cooperatively with physicians, case managers, and other healthcare staff.

  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

  • Typically reports to a physical therapist.

  • Performs a variety of tasks.

  • A limited degree of creativity and latitude is required.
