Sr Manager, Supply Chain Inventory

As the Sr. Manager you will play an important role in driving inventory optimization and strategy within our Biosciences Division.

How will you make an impact?

You will improve availability and mitigate risk by developing and implementing effective inventory planning strategies. Through collaboration with Supply Leaders and other cross-functional teams, you will optimize inventory levels, minimize stock outs and costs, and improve inventory turnover across all locations. Your strong analytical skills and expertise in inventory planning methodologies will be critical for success in this role.

What will you do?

  • Work closely with leaders to build and implement inventory planning strategies that improve inventory levels, reduce stock outs and expenses, and optimize inventory turnover across all locations.

  • Lead the Inventory Entitlement program, ensuring accurate methodologies and calculations, and taking vital actions on excess and investment opportunities.

  • Lead the Divisional Excess and Obsolete Program, running the project funnel and facilitating regular update meetings with Business Units and Group Leadership.

  • Conduct regular analysis of inventory data, including sales trends, seasonality, and product lifecycle, to identify improvement opportunities and mitigate risks.

  • Apply root cause analysis and the Practical Process Improvement (PPI) system to implement sustainable corrective action.

  • Evaluate investment opportunities to ensure inventory alignment with business goals and customer satisfaction objectives.

  • Investigate anomalies or events in inventory variance to resolve root causes and provide guidance on actions to improve operational efficiency.

  • Partner with Supply Planning to analyze and update MRP planning parameters to ensure inventory optimization.

  • Work with Finance to deliver informative data that aids in decision making on inventory investment.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements in inventory management practices to find possibilities for innovation and improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • proven track record in Inventory management, Supply Chain management, and/or Data Analytics.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze large data sets and develop actionable insights and recommendations.

  • Solid understanding of concepts of inventory flow and management throughout the Supply Chain.

  • Proven understanding of manufacturing concepts and principles, finite scheduling, product flow, data management, and supply chain planning.

  • Knowledgeable regarding Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) principles and system dynamics.

  • Ability to demonstrate communication and influencing skills, judgment, tact, and subtlety.

  • Demonstrated ability to optimally handle financial aspects, especially related to inventory and operations.

  • Certified in APICS CPIM, CSCP, Project management PMP, or ISM CPSM.

  • Lean/six sigma green belt or higher ideally.

  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $130,000.00 - $194,950.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
