Job Title: Receiving Inspector
Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Receiving Inspector to join our team and take over from one of our valued inspectors who is retiring. You will be responsible for inspecting incoming parts and materials, ensuring they meet quality standards before they proceed to the production floor. Your role will involve performing dimensional and electrical inspections, reviewing vendor documentation, and maintaining electronic inspection history files.
Responsibilities
Determine the method of inspection, set-up, and required tools to verify each requirement or feature.
Perform inspections as required by purchase orders, work orders, engineering drawings, specifications, standards, sketches, and other documents.
Inspect items to specified tolerances, including angular and linear dimensions.
Support and maintain regular communication with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality departments.
Identify areas for new training and process improvement.
Assist team with questions and problems and escalate appropriately.
Meet quality assurance standards per ISO 9001 and Six Sigma.
Ensure proper personal protective equipment is used when required and conduct safety checks.
Perform all work in an ESD safe manner.
Maintain electronic records of all inspection outcomes.
Sustain cleaning and 5S efforts.
Represent the company to suppliers in all needed circumstances, including demonstrations, communications, and reports.
Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Essential Skills
3-5 years of receiving inspector experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Experience working with electrical and mechanical components.
Proficiency in using inspection tools and technologies, including thread gages, pin gages, calipers, micrometers, and multimeters.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and understanding of computer programs such as Epicor ERP System.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Goal-oriented self-starter with a sense of urgency.
Ability to work effectively in a team-centered environment.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with IPC standards.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
Exposure to CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) and willingness to be trained on the equipment.

Work Environment
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, First Shift, 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Flexible Start time). Opportunity for overtime weekly. Dress Code: Casual.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
