Program Management Specialist

Carlsbad, CA site is looking to fill a Project Manager role that provides site support for day-

to-day operations for the US Government/Military line of aerospace products.

This individual will function as the primary facility contact to Customers such as US Govt & Military, aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 manufacturers for initiating, planning, tracking of build execution, controlling and closing of projects or orders (short term and long-term contracts). This individual must have the organizational capability and confidence to work with multiple functions of the facility (e.g. management, finance, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, QA and logistics). This individual must be able to oversee multiple efforts simultaneously.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of project management methodology, tools, and techniques.

  • Leads and manages all aspects of major programs and projects, either enterprise-wide or within a business unit.

  • Develops, implements and monitors program strategies, policies and detailed plans, including establishing timeframes, budgets and specifications.

  • Identifies and coordinates necessary program/project resources. Develops business cases, including cost-benefit analyses.

  • Good communication and presentation skills to communicate effectively with customers and internal and factory teams.

  • Ability to manage projects directly with strong organizational, negotiation, conflict resolution capabilities working cross functionally with teams to track orders and mitigate risks to ensure on-time deliveries.

  • Confer with internal and external customers for quoting and informational requests and resolve issues with orders, deliveries, quotations, quality, and forecasts as appropriate.

  • Develop and maintain key performance metrics and provide status to leadership.

  • Analyzes potential solutions to problems (with or without vague/unstructured aspects) using experience, judgment, and precedent.

  • Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team.Begins to work independently with minimal to moderate guidance.

  • May supervise employees, focused on task performance and delivery of specialized processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, or equivalent experience will be considered.

  • Two years’ experience in sales or a manufacturing environment desirable

  • At least 3 years of project management experience

  • Professional with significant knowledge within own discipline and knowledge of related disciplines, completing specialized and/or moderately complex tasks under moderate supervision.

  • Has developed a detailed understanding of key business drivers through multiple years of experience.

  • Has the ability to understand and influence.

  • Begins to work independently with minimal to moderate guidance.

  • Knowledge of project management methodology, tools, and techniques.

  • Process and continuous improvement experience highly desirable.

  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Experience with military customers, quoting and proposals a plus.

  • Work requires judgment and consideration of future implications beyond the immediate problem.

  • Technical background a plus

  • Experience with QAD/ERP/MRP is a plus.

  • Knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM is a plus.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.

The Pay range for this role is $79,100.00 - $124,300.00 Annual

Each role has an associated pay range (or an established pay rate for some roles) based on the competitive market in each country where we operate.
