Job Description

We expect our guests to have fun in the sun, but safety is always number one! The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of all of our guests at the Pools and Waterslides. Lifeguards will maintain a diligent watch over families and children, enforcing rules with the right balance of firmness and politeness. Lifeguards need to be ready at all times to perform life-saving functions. Lifeguards may also perform all of the functions and responsibilities of Pool Attendants as assigned.

*This is a seasonal position with an anticipated start date of April 15, 2025, and an end date of September 15, 2025.

Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency.

  • Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.

  • Presents professional appearance and altitude at all times

  • Maintains a high standard of customer service.

  • Performs various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility.

  • Prepares and maintains appropriate activity reports and daily logs of events.

  • Handles or refers other problems and situations as they arise within the facility to the Operational Supervisor.

  • Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.

  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.

  • Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

  • Attend department meetings as scheduled along with department staff.

  • Be able to perform Pool Attendant functions / shifts as required.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Prior experience lifeguarding a pool in a resort, country club, or waterpark facility highly preferred.

  • 1 year of previous lifeguard experience preferred

  • Candidates who have lifeguard certification are preferred. Will provide training and certification as needed.

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

  • Must have a flexible schedule and be available to work weekends and holidays.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

    Pay Rate: $20.25
