Job Description

The Marketplace Lead is a “hands-on” resource that will play a vital role in assisting resort guests, members and employees in a fast-paced team selling/service environment. The Lead will ensure product knowledge of the team and infuse Marketplace with superior customer service. The Lead will help coach and lead by example providing training and motivation to the team as they complete all functions of the job. Leads will be “experts” in all Marketplace job functions and assist the manager in completing retail inventory and ordering, ensure that retail merchandise is handled optimally and assist with a myriad of administrative functions.

Responsibilities

  • Creates daily check lists and delegates tasks accordingly

  • Process food and beverage orders and retail sales.

  • Coach the Café Attendants and Retail Attendants to success.

  • Act as an “expediter”.

  • Provide “expert” knowledge to Associates on how to perform their jobs and train as needed.

  • Follow up on daily projects to ensure follow through

  • Ensure Birch Street orders are placed according to business needs and stocked adequately

  • Ensure retail coverage at key times as business dictates.

  • Partner with the Manager to ensure that call outs are covered.

  • Involved in physical inventories once per quarter or 4 times per year.

  • Compile monthly Buyer’s Reports and submit to manager

  • Compile monthly game plans and submit to manager

  • Support Retail team in revenue generating ideas, events and promotions.

  • Visual merchandising all retail items.

  • Clear and thorough knowledge of Resort Suite daily reporting responsibilities, how to handle issues with payments and guest accounts, and general POS support for team.

  • Ensure that monthly reports are submitted i.e, safety committee, payroll audit reports, etc.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

  • General knowledge of cash handling and Point of Sale systems.

  • Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred.

  • Previous retail and/or barista experience.

    Pay Rate: $22.85/hr
