Operations Training Manager - 1st Shift - 358098  

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: 1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 6:30am - 3:30pm

As the Operations Training Manager, you will provide comprehensive training and development programs to teams in various facilities. What you'll do on a typical day:  * Develop, write, maintain and coordinate training modules for a variety of specialties, including quality assurance (QA), powered industrial truck (PIT) operations, pick, pack and ship processes, safety, loss prevention, people management, warehouse management systems (WMS), etc.  * Oversee the development of training videos and/or films; maintain the library of training aids  * Schedule training sessions; ensure facility and audio-visual equipment is set up and that employees are notified  * Develop a means of measuring the effectiveness of training programs through testing, surveys, etc.  * Identify required core competencies and address any skill gaps  * Train instructors and supervisors in techniques and skills for training and interacting with employees  * Determine and implement career development plans for each training department employee

What you need to succeed at GXO: At a minimum, you'll need:  * 4 years of related work experience  * Experience with warehouse management or inventory systems  * Knowledge of adult learning principles and adult training methodologies  * Ability to adhere to the 7S program  * Proven ability to maintain a safe work environment by adhering to and enforcing safe work practices

It'd be great if you also have:  * Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience  * 3 years of management experience  * 2 years of training, teaching or related experience  * Excellent verbal and written communication skills  * Creative and visual graphic design ability  * Bilingual English/Spanish  * Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
