DESCRIPTION OF WORK The Clerical Assistant 2 will provide clerical support to the Station Commander and other station personnel by ensuring the station's clerical and administrative operations are conducted efficiently and effectively.  Some of the duties include the following:

Prepares and type various correspondence and reports. Proofreads various documents to ensure that they are completed in a grammatically correct manner and consistent with Department regulations. Reviews reports for adherence to processing standards and forwards to troop headquarters. Enters and submits Uniform Crime Report data and online position descriptions. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment. Work hours are 7:00am to 3:00pm, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $34,621 (before taxes). Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or Graduation from high school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Additional Requirements: Two years or more of experience using Microsoft Word. Two years or more of experience using Microsoft Excel. Two years or more of experience with preparing and formatting various correspondence, forms, and reports. Two years or more of experience utilizing various office equipment such as a personal computer, copying machine, facsimile machine, and postage meter.
