DESCRIPTION:
Ohio Gratings is seeking a skilled Machine Maintenance Repair Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, performing preventive maintenance, and repairing a variety of machinery and equipment, including electrical, hydraulic, and press machines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment for proper functioning.
- Listen for unusual sounds to detect malfunctions and consult with production employees and supervisors.
- Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.
- Lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other machinery parts to ensure smooth operation.
- Install and repair electrical apparatus, transformers, wiring, and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
- Lay out, assemble, and install new manufacturing equipment.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and keep detailed records.
- Work with hand tools, welders, high lifts, various oils, and solvents.
- Utilize computer systems for documentation and reporting.
- Adhere to all safety rules and regulations set forth by Ohio Gratings.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or managers.
EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, AND PROFICIENCIES:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 5-10 years of experience preferred, with expertise in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems (480V).
- Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Advanced blueprint reading, wiring schematic interpretation, and understanding of equipment drawings.
- Ability to use precision tools such as dial calipers and tape measures.
- Strong mathematical skills, including arithmetic, algebra, and geometry, to solve maintenance issues.
- Knowledgeable in metal fabrication equipment, welders, cranes, lift trucks, and PLC/CNC systems.
