Vitalant Donor Care Supervisor in Canton, Ohio

Description Vitalant is seeking a Supervisor of Donor Care dedicated to making a positive difference.? Your impact as a Supervisor of Donor Care is vital. You will support Vitalant's life-saving mission by supervising the daily operational activities of assigned Donor Care Phlebotomist teams. You will support the achievement of collection goals, manage budgets, and facilitate staff development. What to Expect Schedule: Full-time schedule. Five Days a week, including every other weekend. As a Supervisor of Donor Care, you'll get to:

  • Supervise, direct, and assess the performance of assigned collection staff members, encompassing workload planning, task allocation, and conduct performance reviews when necessary.
  • Ensure all staff are adequately trained, offering retraining and skill set development as needed.
  • Cultivate a work environment that encourages excellence, guiding the team toward positive attitudes.
  • Empower staff to identify opportunities for growth and process improvements.
  • Guarantee collection events comply with regulatory standards.
  • Ensure operational conditions, maintenance, and repairs for all equipment are completed.
  • Provide support to Donor Care Team leaders by offering supervision at collection events, assisting with donor interviews, and performing whole blood and/or automated red cell/plasma and apheresis procedures.

Requirements

  • High School degree or GED required
  • Ability to complete all required staff qualifications and supervisory training programs
  • Valid in state Driver license
  • Three years of previous healthcare related experience required
  • One year of previous supervisory experience required
  • Able to lift 40lbs
