Summary The summer intern will work closely with development team on multiscale material modeling in validating, benchmarking and developing the new functions. She or he will need to develop finite element models, run Ansys software, find analytic or numerical solutions as needed and process the results for the comparison and validation. The intern will get an opportunity to interact with Ansys global leaders. The internship will begin in May 2025 and conclude in August 2025. This is a full-time opportunity and the intern is expected to work 40 hours per week.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Work closely with development team in testing and validating the newly developed features and proof concept prototype

Develop finite element models and run Ansys software

Find analytic or numerical solution and process the results for the comparison and validation.

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

Pursuing a PhD in Mechanical, Civil or Aeronautical Engineering,Applied Mechanics or related fields

Strong computational mechanics background

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

Excellent technical knowledge and commercial experience with numerical analysis

Deep knowledge in finite element formulations or other numerical methods in simulation and nonlinear solution algorithms

Experience in material modeling with ML/AI is a plus

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work collaboratively across teams and geographies
