FREMONT COUNTY Child Welfare Case Aide in CANON CITY, Colorado

POSITION: Child Welfare Case Aide Life Skills

DUTIES: This position provides life skills and Core services in support of a case plan by performing para-professional services of an ongoing nature to families and children in the areas of child protection, youth-in-conflict and permanency planning.

  • Supervises sibling contact and phone calls between children and parents or between siblings as required in case plan or by court order.
  • Observes individual children and interactions with siblings.
  • Makes written report of these observations to the caseworker and enters documentation into Trails computer system.

REQUIREMENTS:

Level I - Graduation from High School or GED equivalency.

Level II Six months full time, paid or unpaid, experience involving extensive public contact.

Level III - Two years full time paid or unpaid experience involving extensive public contact. May substitute education beyond high school for experience on a month for month basis.

Level IV - Minimum of one (1) year full time, paid experience obtained in a social services agency at a Level III.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • A valid Colorado driver s license, vehicle in safe operating condition, liability insurance.
  • Must be physically present within the geographical boundaries of Fremont County when performing on-call duties.
  • Must be able to pass a nationwide background check.

WAGE: $17.52 - $22.07/ Hourly

SHIFTS: Full-time, 40 hours per week.

JOB SITE: Canon City, CO
