Sheet Metal Fabrication Technician

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $17.28 / Hour

What you'll be doing as a Sheet Metal Fabrication Technician:

  • Operating punching machines to create the precise holes, slots and patterns in sheet metal according to the specifications / work order.

  • Set up and calibrate cutting machines to achieve accurate and clean cuts on various sheet metal materials.

  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to ensure quality production.

  • Inspect finished parts for adherence to design specifications, including dimensions, tolerances and surface finish.

  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of punching and cutting machines to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.

  • Load and unload sheet metal materials onto machines, ensuring proper alignment and secure placement.

  • Organize and manage materials, including sorting and labeling parts as production needs.

  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and resolve any issues that arise.

Shift timings - 1st Shift (Day)

Job requirements:

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and work orders to determine the correct punching and cutting requirements.

  • Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers and gauges to verity the accuracy of parts.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials and equipment.

  • Capacity to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

  • Background Check required
