Job Title: Painter

Job Description

A day in the life of a Painter includes:

  • Assembling letters or other products to be sprayed and paint supplies required for the order.

  • Mixing the appropriate quantity of paint for the order, ensuring that the paint is properly mixed as indicated by local conditions and matching paint chips or samples if required.

  • Masking parts as required prior to applying paint or texturing, and removing masking materials after completion of the drying cycle.

  • Spraying products as required, ensuring that paint is applied in a manner consistent with customer requirements and company quality standards.

  • Inspecting finished products for function, aesthetics, and quality.

  • Monitoring accuracy and completeness of the order, including mountings and hardware.

  • Constructing shipping cartons for the shipping of finished products.

  • Maintaining familiarity with shipping procedures, bill of lading, etc., and preparing products for UPS/truck pick-up as required.

  • Reviewing production orders to assure requirements of the job.

  • Maintaining awareness of order dates, reworks, and remakes, while prioritizing workflow accordingly. Reporting to the Plant Supervisor.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Cannon Falls, Minnesota.

Work Environment

The work environment is clean, bright, and hot around equipment. There are 7 different buildings on the campus - each building is a little different but follows a standard manufacturing facility setup.
