Thompson Health Certified Nursing Assistant ( CNA ) - Rehab in Canandaigua, New York

Description

This is a full time, days position.

Rotating weekend required. Located in our Continuing Care Center (CCC), Thompson's LTC Facility in Canandaigua, NY.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents in performing activities of daily living.

  • his requires assisting with maintaining and/or improving the resident’s quality of life to the highest functional level.

  • Participate in the daily care of residents such as checking schedules for resident appointments completing personal inventory upon admission, reporting care given and observations.

  • Provide personal care to residents such as bathing, dressing, passes nourishment, collecting specimens of urine, stool, and sputum, performing post-mortem care.

  • Assist with skincare and repositioning such as reporting skin breakdown, applying lotion, turning residents side to side, using mechanical lifts, toileting residents.

  • Maintain an orderly and clean environment.

  • Use safe procedures to prevent injuries to residents, self, and others.

  • Complete required documentation such as intake/output forms, vitals and weight.

  • Interact with residents, families, and other staff.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Valid NYS CNA Certification

  • The willingness to provide excellent age-appropriate care to residents

  • Good communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to handle unpleasant sights and odors.

  • Must be team-oriented

Pay Range: $18.00 - $25.00
