Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER-Title 5, Position Description Number T5288000 and is part of the WI CSMS, Wisconsin National Guard. Responsibilities - Assist supported units/ customers establish plans to schedule maintenance and repair of a variety of vehicles and equipment such as combat vehicles, heavy-duty engineering and mobile equipment, towed and self-propelled artillery, communications and electronic equipment, guided missile systems, small arms, and test measurement diagnostic equipment (TMDE). -Working Army formats and correspondence as required in AR 25-20 - Studies directives and regulations as to their application in the unit. - Maintains documentation and organizes maintenance repair records by Force Activity Designator, pacing items, Equipment Readiness Codes (ERC), equipment type, commander's priority, state/national priorities, (in the case of floods, fires, and mobilizations) and unit supported. - Provides assistance to ensure that Modified Table of Organization and Equipment (MTO&E) or Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) reportable Line Item Numbers (LIN) are properly reported and accounted for with respect to readiness reports, property accountability reports and system management. - Maintains documentation and repair records in database; recommends control procedures to ensure accomplishment of programs meet priorities and deadlines established by higher authority or support activities. - In the absence of the higher graded production controller, recommends priority of CL II and IX request for funding to maximize readiness; and performs demand analysis on CL IX expenses to determine proper shop stock quantities to sustain facility mission requirements. * This is NOT an all-inclusive list of duties. * Requirements Conditions of Employment - Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation. - May be required to successfully complete a probationary period. - Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. - May be subject to furlough actions. - Acceptance of a Federal position may terminate Tricare eligibility. - Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. - The incumbent of this position description must have at a minimum, a completed National Agency Check (NAC) prior to position assignment. - Irregular and overtime hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies. - This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. This designation will not exceed 14 calendar days per year unless otherwise approved in advance by the TAG. - For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state drivers' license for the state in which they live or are principally employed. Qualifications GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify at the GS-07 level, you must have at least 12 months of experience, education, or training working with people from various levels and backgrounds. Experience with a general knowledge of the functions and procedures of production control, records, references, and techniques for developing production control data. Experience assisting or maintaining workflow. A preferred candidate has generalize organizational skills. Candidate has knowledge or experience working SAP data base platform for example: GCSS Army and Army 365 products. Must have experience with customer service. Inputs data regarding work order information, status changes, supply updates, and other pertinent information. Based on guidance received from the supervisor, prioritizes resources to ensure the highest level of readiness in support of training and mobilization requirements of supported units. Must have experience writing professional correspondence.
