Summary About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the 302nd Signal Battalion, Camp Roberts, CA. Responsibilities Serves as the Company’s Chief of Operations responsible for daily operations, short and long-range communications planning, coordinating, directing, and reviewing a variety of work functions. Develops short and long-range plans required for efficient and effective utilization of personnel and equipment required to support 24hours-per-day, 7 days-per-week telecommunications services to customers. Provides operational and technical supervision for military and DA Civilian personnel, including serving as first-line supervisor. Acts as the central point of contact for all communications circuit/trunk/system or equipment degradations or outages. Responsible for 24 hour notification and reporting of problem situations to Battalion staff, the 21st Signal Brigade, and Defense Information System Agency (DISA).
