Job Description:

Effectively manage the supply chain team to ensure successful implementation and sustainment of L3Harris’ procurement and subcontracts functional strategic and tactical initiatives in support of the various production and development programs within Maritime C5. The supply chain manager will be responsible for leading a team of supply chain employees. Effective collaboration with PM, Proposal Teams, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering, and finance teams is critical to the role. This position reports to the Maritime Director of Supply Chain.

Core Functions

  • Attract, hire, develop, and lead a high performing team of Supply Chain professionals that are responsible for ownership of supplier selection and development, negotiations, continuity of supply, and supplier relationship management.

  • Assess supplier and platform risks and develop the appropriate contingency plans. Actively support initiatives to bring risk insights into the overall decision-making process.

  • Responsible for implementing and administering supply chain programs, tools and processes for multiple supply chain functions including commodity management, procurement, and subcontracts.

  • Ensures sourcing efforts meet business goals and objectives.

  • Works with functional leaders to perform analysis and identify areas for performance improvement.

  • Oversees and supports implementation of strategic initiatives, as well as activities related to global sourcing, supplier selection, product delivery specifications, and quality.

  • Establishes, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce costs, streamline procedures, and implement solutions.

  • Develops and maintains working relationships with global supply chain partners.

  • Designs and implements business metrics to monitor, track, and report sourcing project progress.

  • Exceptional problem solving/avoidance capability

  • Benchmarking and adapting industry best practices to drive state of the art supplier management standard work

  • Engaged in operating income initiatives, reducing operations costs, and increasing efficiency

  • Serve as a role model for integrity, inclusion, and diversity,

  • Maintain responsibility for succession planning, organizational and talent development,

  • Lead the organization in the development and implementation of operating philosophies and business strategies,

  • Develop, implement, and sustain success metrics, incorporating best practices, and effectively communicating improvements.

  • Track supplier deliveries in accordance with program need to ensure proper deliverable dates are met

  • Track financial commitments to ensure we are hitting savings, negotiation, and sales goals monthly

  • Ensure files are properly developed and maintained in accordance with company FAR, DFAR, internal policies and procedures to maintain system approvals

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.

  • Minimum of 3 years of Supply chain background/experience in the US DOD manufacturing industry.

  • 10+ years of Sourcing Management or Supply Chain Management experience in applicable technology

  • 3+ years of experience in successfully managing a geographically diversified supply chain organization

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Demonstrated collaboration capability, and ability to influence others.

  • Hands-on role requiring the individual to be a self-starter, success managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Problem solving within a team environment. Lean Six Sigma knowledge and experience highly desirable.

  • Proven ability to lead through change and adversity and deliver results in challenging environments.

  • Experience developing subcontract specifications, statements of work (SOW), and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and/or services

  • Experience negotiating terms and conditions including FAR, DFAR, and Uniform Commercial Code (UCC).

  • Experience engaging with suppliers and analyzing suppliers' operations to determine factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules

  • Advanced Excel skills including Pivot tables, macros, etc.

  • Experience leading and successfully passing CPSR
