  • 7+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and database design, with a focus on analytics and business intelligence.

  • Proven experience designing and implementing data architecture solutions using leading technologies and platforms, such as Oracle, SQL Server, Informatica, AWS, OCI, IDMC, etc.

  • Strong understanding of data modeling techniques, data integration patterns, and data governance principles.

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Oracle Analytics) and analytics languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R) is a plus.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.

The Administrative Data Management and Reporting Ecosystem (ADMIRE) project is designed to create a comprehensive data strategy that enables the institution to leverage administrative data to inform decisions, make predictions, and otherwise understand our operations. The demand for high-quality, normalized, and interconnected data has continued to increase, with the emergence of generative artificial intelligence putting a spotlight on the challenges of data quality and data governance. This project prioritizes the foundational technology and related services that will enable such initiatives to move forward easily in the future. The ADMIRE project will enable us to leverage the full value of our digital assets for an enterprise-wide approach to data governance, create a modern data ecosystem, and incorporate best practices into our data management capabilities.

In the process of advancing and transforming our data service offerings, we are looking for an experienced candidate who embraces change to provide technical leadership. This is an exciting new role to build a new centralized practice to implement and support the foundational core work of a modern data ecosystem. The candidate should also be able to provide long term roadmaps, mentorship to the team and have a solid understanding of modern data ecosystems.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Solutions Architect, you will play a leadership role in designing and implementing robust data architecture solutions to support our organization's analytics and business intelligence initiatives. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization to understand requirements, define data architecture standards, and develop scalable solutions that enable data-driven decision-making. You will provide mentorship to team members and help lead the transformation of our data architecture and services. Responsibilities include:

  • Leading the design and development of data architecture solutions, including data warehouses, data lakes, and data marts, to support business analytics and reporting needs.

  • Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions that align with business objectives.

  • Defining data architecture standards, best practices, and guidelines to ensure consistency, scalability, and reliability of data assets.

  • Evaluating the impact of technology architecture and implementation decisions to performance, scalability, and cost.

  • Working closely with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to implement data architecture solutions and ensure their successful deployment and integration.

  • Providing technical leadership and guidance on data architecture and analytics best practices, helping to build a culture of data-driven decision-making within the organization.

  • Staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in data architecture and analytics and assessing their potential impact on our organization's data strategy.

This position has been designated as a primarily remote position (less than one day per week).
