Additional Qualifications and Skills:

A Bachelor's degree in psychology (or related field) and previous clinical psychological research experience (especially with clinical subjects) is strongly preferred. Writing, computer skills (e.g., proficiency with programming and smartphone applications), and supervisory experience are highly desirable. Prior experience working with clinically severe/suicidal patients strongly preferred.

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are essential.

The RA will enroll participants in research studies in multiple locations, including Massachusetts General Hospital clinical units. The RA will participate in all phases of the research process, including: (1) recruiting, consenting, and enrolling participants; (2) following up with participants and conducting risk assessments and referrals as needed; (3) collaborating and communicating with the Franciscan Children¿s Hospital RC to ensure synchronicity in data collection and management procedures across sites.

The Nock Laboratory, in the Department of Psychology, at Harvard University is seeking a Research Assistant (RA) to coordinate and administer studies aimed at understanding and preventing suicidal behavior among adolescents and adults presenting to the emergency room or the psychiatric inpatient unit.
