Philips Product Support Engineer in Cambridge, Massachusetts

Product Support Engineer, Cambridge, MA

The Product Support Engineer provides supports to the field service engineers (PSE) and National Support Specialists (NSS) nationwide, as required, to resolve complex technical problems and product issues related to the products released by the Technology Solutions within the HPM modality.

Your role:

  • Provides technical recommendations that best suit the environment; Resolves technical issues and offers proactive and reactive technical support

  • Solves sub-system/component related customer (technical) complains that are escalated by the helpdesk. Improves the service deliverable package of the applicable sub systems/component based on field feedback

  • Document solutions to ensure support teams can effectively support the client; Drives continuous improvements of our implementation methodology and service offerings based on client feedback and lessons learned

  • Defines, creates and publishes the required spare parts for the specific product as well as the service deliverable package (documentation and e-information)

  • Contributes to the collective learning of Philips, seeking to share knowledge globally; assesses and shares repeatable processes that can be leveraged across multiple projects

You're the right fit if:

  • You’ve acquired 5+ years of experience in customer technical support role

  • Your skills include solid familiarity with operations of Windows OS and BIOS, strong understanding of networking fundamentals and experience with PC based hardware, video displays, peripherals and strong technical writing skills; a strong organizational, time management, verbal and written communication skills are required to be successful in this position

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in electrical or biomedical engineering, scientific or related business discipline; or relevant equivalent education and experience

  • You’re self-motivated; willing and able to quickly learn new applications and technologies

  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
