Knowledge of EMS scheduling software
Working knowledge of theatrical lighting systems
Familiarity with Zoom Meeting and Zoom Room software
Knowledge of digital signage and Internet Protocol television (IPTV) systems
Background in higher-education and/or large corporate environments
Strong aptitude to quickly learn and institutionalize business, technical, and process knowledge; interest and ability to assess and improve work processes
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and superior maturity, professionalism, and judgment
Ability to present technical concepts to customers in non-technical language
Additional Information:This role is offered as an onsite position where you are required to be primarily onsite at our Boston, MA-based campus. Specific hours and days onsite will be determined by business needs and are subject to change with appropriate advanced notice. This is a 40 hours/per week, overtime-eligible position.

The Live Events Producer provides oversight and mentorship to a team of Live Events Producers and Event Support Specialists.
The Live Events Producer is a member of the Audiovisual (AV) Events team and is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering hybrid, virtual, and live events across the Harvard Business School (HBS) campus. This includes 250+ audiovisual-enabled classrooms, conference rooms, auditoriums, and other convening spaces spread across 35 campus buildings. A focus of the role is on the production and coordination of events in Klarman Hall, an 80,000 sq. ft. convening center. This 1,000-seat facility features immersive and industry-leading technologies.
The Live Events Producer is responsible for closely collaborating with stakeholders during all phases of event planning, from concept to day-of support. They will ensure Media Services has a comprehensive understanding of the technology and support expectations for success and lead a team of peers to execute the event. The Live Events Producer will be the subject matter expert on convening spaces on campus and represent the full catalog of services offered to customers.
Responsibilities:
Deliver on the mission to provide outstanding AV services and support at every opportunity, in a demanding climate
Plan and ensure successful delivery of complex, high-level events (live, virtual, and hybrid) to include theatrical productions, musical events, and conferences
Manage pre/during/post-event communications, to ensure any issues or changes that might affect events are escalated or approved through proper channels and documented
Engage in event planning meetings with faculty, staff, students, vendors, and external groups/individuals
Manage many simultaneous work items of changing priority with minimal supervision
Collaborate with faculty and staff to recommend and implement solutions and emergent technologies that meet identified business needs
Manage client expectations on budget, timelines, technical needs, etc.
Directly manage outsourced vendor support and resources; request and review vendor proposals, ensuring they meet customer needs and budget
Manage key customer and vendor relationships to ensure exemplary service
Take responsibility for post-event recaps, feedback, and insights on all events
Serve as an escalation point for customers; work to resolve service delivery issues on an expedited basis
Monitor and maintain health and stability of AV systems Identify root causes and facilitate the timely resolution of complex, systemic issues
Complete other responsibilities as assigned
