Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Architect with a strong background in data architecture for scientific and R&D data. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data analysis processes and be capable of designing robust data infrastructures. This candidate will be responsible for creating the data infrastructure regarding the clients product, This role is an integral part of the digital team and will interface daily with stakeholders, scientists and clinicians.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Architecture: Design and implement data infrastructure to support scientific and R&D data needs.

Industry Expertise: Leverage industry experience to understand and meet the unique requirements of scientific and R&D data management.

Collaboration: Work closely with data analysts to understand their workflows and requirements.

Technical and Strategic Work: Balance hands-on technical tasks with strategic planning and design.

Database Management: Utilize AWS and PostgreSQL databases for data storage and management.

Requirement Gathering: Engage with scientists to gather requirements and translate them into effective data storage solutions.

DBA Capabilities: Perform database administration tasks as needed, given the limited number of dedicated DBA personnel.

Compensation for this role is 200k-210k per year annually plus bonus. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role may include healthcare insurance offerings and paid leave as provided by applicable law

Skills and Requirements

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in data architecture, particularly within scientific, life sciences or R&D environments.

• Experience creating a data architecture from scratch

• Machine Learning experience

• Proficiency in AWS and PostgreSQL.

• Strong understanding of data analysis processes.

• Ability to describe data entities and design data storage solutions.

• Excellent communication skills for gathering requirements and collaborating with various stakeholders. null
