Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Drug Product Development team in Cambridge, MA within the Vaccines Operations, Manufacturing Science & Technology Organization.
How You Will Contribute
The intern will assist in planning and executing vaccine formulation and Drug Product manufacturing process development.
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and innovative environment, contributing to critical projects that impact public health.
Internship Development Opportunities
Under the supervision of Senior Scientists, the Intern will gain valuable experience and skills from this internship, including:
Hands-on Experience in Vaccine Formulation and DP Manufacturing Process Development.
Skills in analyzing data from development studies and technology transfer activities.
Experience in authoring technical reports for internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies.
Proficiency in reviewing and maintaining cGMP documentation.
Experience in preparing protocols, technical reports, and summaries for various audiences.
Hands-on experience with techniques such as HPLC (SEC; IEX, RP), SDS-PAGE, UV and fluorescence spectroscopy.
Understanding of molecule characterization to determine stability and manufacturability profiles.
Opportunities to author manuscripts for scientific journals.
Enhancing written and verbal communication skills through various reporting and presentation tasks.
Job Requirements:
This is a fully onsite position located in Cambridge, MA
Currently enrolled in University, pursuing a Masters degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Bio/Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with biophysical and biochemical techniques is a plus.
Internship Eligibility
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship
Must be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2025 or later
The internship program is 10-12 weeks depending on the two start dates (June 2nd- August 22nd) or (June 16th - August 29th)
The intern must be able to commit to one of these time frames
Able to work full time 40 hours a week during internship dates
Takeda does not provide a housing stipend or relocation support for the U.S Summer Internship Program

U.S. Hourly Wage Range:
$21.00 - $46.00
The estimated hourly range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will depend on the candidate’s school year/level to be entered following completion of internship. The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. internship benefits vary by location and may include:
