Canon USA & Affiliates Client Relationship Specialist in California

About the Role

Ensures that the assigned strategic customer account experiences maximum value from the company’s products and services, driving long-term relationships, customer satisfaction, and retention. In addition to client relationship management, this role also involves providing proposals for new equipment and sales order processing tasks to support the sales team, project management, product delivery coordination, and support of customer moves, adds, and changes.

Key player in managing the overall client experience, from onboarding to post-sales support, while facilitating smooth internal processes to support sales initiatives.

Your Impact

'- Develops and maintains strong, long-term relationships with client contacts to customer satisfaction, retention, and continued success with the company's products and services.

  • Proactively addresses client issues, coordinating with internal teams (e.g., product, support, technical, billing) to deliver timely and effective solutions.

  • Regularly communicates with client contacts to assess satisfaction, offer recommendations, and ensure they are utilizing the full potential of the company's products/services.

  • Collaborates with internal teams (e.g., Order Management, Procurement, Distribution and Logistics, etc.) to ensure smooth product/service delivery.

  • Acts as the primary point of contact for project updates, managing client expectations, and ensuring transparency throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Establishes a working familiarity with equipment capabilities. Keeps abreast of technical knowledge of hardware and software through consultation, class instruction, self-training and exchange of information.

Sales Support:

  • Assists with processing client orders, generating customer quotes/proposals, and ensuring timely invoicing. Coordinates with billing/credit and collections to address any discrepancies.

  • Ensures accurate and up-to-date records in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, including client contacts, engagement history, sales activities, and contract details.

  • Tracks and reports key sales metrics related to the account, including upsell and cross-sell opportunities, contract renewals, and sales progress.

  • Collaborates with sales teams to contribute insights into the sales pipeline, providing data on client engagement, contract renewals, and expansion opportunities to help with sales forecasting.

About You: The Skills & Expertise You Bring

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, plus 3 to 5 years of related experience.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for managing client relationships, addressing inquiries, and delivering a high level of service to both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Experience with workforce management systems or Oracle platforms is a plus. Familiarity with these tools will assist in streamlining operations, tracking project progress, and managing customer data efficiently.

  • Required to take all necessary steps to obtain any security and/or other clearances required by customers to access their premises. This may involve background checks, specialized training, or other customer-specific requirements.

  • May require up to 15% travel, primarily to client sites (valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record are necessary). Travel will involve both local and regional travel, depending on client needs and project requirements.

In accordance with applicable law, we are providing the anticipated base salary for this role: $68,640 - $81,550 annually.
