Job Description

Responsible for directing a team of skilled aviation technicians during 2nd shift hours in support of Test and Evaluation Programs including aircraft / test article build and support. This team will ensure the safe execution of assembly, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, preventative maintenance, inspections, functional test and troubleshooting in accordance with applicable Supernal and industry guidelines.

This position is required to work during 2nd shift hours, please note work hours may flex depending on business need.

Skills and Requirements

What you can do:

 Supervise a team of production technicians and assign them daily and long-term tasks

 Performance manage a team of production technicians by setting goals, providing feedback, coaching, and conducting regular performance evaluations

 Monitor the attendance of production technicians by approving time off requests, making edits to the schedule as necessary, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures

 Ensure adherence to company safety and operating policies/procedures

 Ensure the workforce is appropriately trained for the safe execution of required tasks

 Communicate with Program & Project Leaders, Engineering, Safety, Quality Management, Procurement, Program Management Office, and Test organization members

 Schedule maintenance and test activities on aircraft, lab assets, test assets, and support equipment

 Plan and implement aircraft builds and modifications

 Plan and implement the construction or modification of laboratory equipment and test articles

 Develop and maintain the Test Configuration Management process, including test environments and test data, to ensure the availability of accurate and reliable information for testing purposes

 Coordinate the management of ground support equipment

 Coordinate the maintenance schedules for test assets

 Up to 25% of domestic and international travel

 Other duties as assigned

What you can contribute:

 Bachelors Degree required

 A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Aerospace (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)

 Experience in leading a team of technical personnel

 Experience in program management

 Experience in test and evaluation

 Experience with Aviation FOD and GOP programs

 Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 Proactive delivery of communication and follow up

 Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

 Must have the ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints

 Proficiency with Excel VLOOKUP, pivot tables, MS Office Suite

 Ability to primarily work during 2nd shift hours with flexibility to work other hours as needed.
