Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma Membership and Volunteer Coordinator - Choctaw Cultural Center in Calera, Oklahoma
Pay Range $23.35 - $26.86 hourly |Onsite Calera, OK| Tuesday - Saturday| 8:30AM-5:00PM
Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Membership and Volunteer Coordinator manages the daily operations of the Membership and Volunteer Programs, including data entry and maintenance of related software. You will develop and coordinate communications for Cultural Center members and volunteers, and managing events and programming. You will recruit, train, and schedule volunteers, and ensure the implementation of program goals. You will report to the Director of Development and Membership.
Primary Tasks:
Maintain accurate membership records and volunteer schedules in department software.
Recruit new members and supporters for the membership program.
Help deliver membership benefits to members.
Contribute to the development and coordination of external communications for members and volunteers of the Cultural Center.
Ensure all recruited volunteers complete the necessary paperwork, background checks, and training, including keeping volunteers informed about the Cultural Center and their responsibilities.
Manage volunteer schedules to ensure the Cultural Center’s priorities are met.
Develop a volunteer recognition program, collaborating with Cultural Center staff to identify support needs and upcoming events.
Help to coordinate membership and volunteer activities.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Associate’s degree in business, communications, or related field or and equivalent combination of education and experience
Computer experience in Microsoft Office
Knowledge of cultural practices, traditions, and customs
Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
Two [2] years of directly related experience
