The Distribution Center Manager Position is the site manager for a brand new 300,000 sq foot facility slated to open in Spring of 2025. This leader will provide direction to the warehouse, maintenance, safety and quality teams supporting the facility responsible for administration, shipping/receiving, transportation, re-supply, customer service, scheduling employees, sanitation, quality, safety and environmental. The Manager works with site leadership as the liaison between the distribution center and Saputo support departments including but not limited to Operations, Safety, Quality, Sales, Planning, Logistics and local, state and federal regulatory agency representatives. How You Will Make Contributions That Matter * Leads, hires, trains, mentors, and coaches key warehouse staff members, including warehouse managers, supervisors and leads. Supports recruiting and retention initiatives along with providing staffing plans, communication, and performance management expectations. * Responsible for all aspects of the distribution center, including shipping and receiving, inventory control, safety, sanitation, quality, building and equipment maintenance. * Responsible for warehouse P&L, annual budgeting, monthly reporting, spend review and achievement of controllable spend goals. Understands and communicates key expense drivers as related to P&L, including cost control associated with labor, overhead, inventory management and shrink. * Identifies, recommends, and supports operational efficiency goals and objectives. Participates in cross-functional projects and engages other departments and support teams as needed. Effectively manages change and ensures sustainment. * Responsible for achievement of Key Performance Indicators related to inventory accuracy, on-time shipments, fill rate, product rotation, traceability, warehouse and equipment utilization, and compliance. * Engages with customer service, sales, production and supply planning, transportation and other support departments in order to achieve desired service level and ensure compliance throughout the supply chain. * Leads, supports and drives employee and food safety programs to build a strong culture reflective of Saputo values at a new facility with over 140 employees. * Understands and adheres to company\'s policies and procedures while demonstrating Saputo\'s values and ensuring compliance. * Plans, directs and coordinates the activities of the distribution center in an organized, safe and sanitary work environment that is in compliance with the Company\'s policies, OSHA and regulatory requirements. You Are Best Suited For The Role If You Have The Following Experiences, Skills, and Qualifications * 7+ years of experience in supply chain/warehouse operations in the Food and Consumer Goods Industry. * 3+ years of experience direct site functional leadership (site function leader w/ P&L ownership). * Ability to develop, coach and lead a team in the execution, strategies and realization of departmental and company goals is required. Demonstrated team builder with the ability to train and engage new employees to form a team. * Proven ability to effectively manage and utilize an integrated WMS/ERP system for inventory transactions and control. SAP ECC and EWM experience preferred. * Strong MS Office Suite Skills & Experience (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, PPT).
