Job Summary
Stock Room Attendant is responsible for managing the inventory of spare parts within our manufacturing facility. This role involves receiving, storing, cycle counting, and issuing parts and supplies to technicians or customers, as well as maintaining accurate inventory records. The Stock Room Attendant will ensure that stock levels are optimal, assist in procurement, and ensure the stockroom operates efficiently and safely in compliance with EHS and 5S principles, contributing to the overall productivity and quality standards of Terumo Puerto Rico, LLC.
Job Details/Responsibilities
Inventory Management:
Receive, store, and organize spare parts and supplies in designated areas.
Ensure accurate inventory levels in the stockroom.
Perform cycle count in the stockroom and warehouse according to schedule and/or classification as per procedures.
Keep inventory records up to date using the warehouse management software or manual logs.
Ensure transactions are performed correctly and accurately. Responsible for the accuracy in their respective inventory location.
Identify and report any discrepancies in stock levels and coordinate adjustments.
Place orders for spare parts based on inventory levels and demand forecasts.
Adjust max/min and re-order quantities as needed to optimize stock levels and prevent stockouts.
Receive inbound shipments of spare parts and verify quality and accuracy against purchase orders.
Manage and dispose of hazardous and potentially hazardous materials, regulated hazardous waste, and non-hazardous waste in accordance with established procedures and regulations.
Stock Issuance:
Issue spare parts to maintenance technicians, engineers, or customers as required.
Ensure parts issued are recorded accurately in the inventory management system.
Prepare and pack spare parts for dispatch, including labeling and documentation.
Procurement Support:
Notify the procurement team or management when stock levels are low and need replenishing.
Support in placing orders for spare parts and ensure timely spare parts inventory restocking.
Track inbound parts purchase orders to ensure on-time in deliveries.
Repair and exchange spare parts:
Securely pack the spare parts for warranties or exchanges to suppliers.
Track inbound shipments of repaired spare parts to ensure on-time in returns.
Storage Organization:
Maintain a well-organized stockroom by labeling parts correctly and ensuring a precise systematic arrangement of items.
Store, sort, place and organize materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence, such as size, type, style, color, or product code for efficient use of space and prevention of material mix-up.
Ensure that hazardous or sensitive parts are stored in compliance with safety regulations.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of stock movements, including parts received, issued, and returned.
Prepare stock reports as requested by supervisors or management.
Participate on monthly or annual stock audits and reconciliations.

Customer Service:
Support internal staff and customers by locating and providing the necessary parts efficiently.
Handle inquiries regarding part availability, pricing, and lead times.
Building strong customer relationships and provide customer the best solutions.
Health & Safety:
Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor promptly.
Operate equipment’s such as: forklift, pallet jack and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) and 5S principles (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) in the spare parts stockroom to ensure organization, cleanliness, and efficiency.
Follow established procedures for handling and storing materials, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines.
Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any issues. Must maintain equipment in optimal and safe conditions.
General Duties:
Assure housekeeping across the stockroom and/or warehouse comply with procedures and keep working areas clean and organized.
Unexpired Puerto Rico driver’s license, at least Category 3, is required since the position requires driving a motor vehicle as usual and integral part of the job.
Comply with TPR company policies and regulatory requirements related to material handling and storage.
Contribute to a positive work environment by fostering open communication, teamwork, and commitment to excellence.
Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA)
Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing information and evaluate the results to choose the best solution.
Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials. Capability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds, stand and walk in long period of times.
Handle and move objects by using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things.
Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide and rounding).
Strong focus on the specifics and paying close attention to small details. It involves carefully and meticulously considering all aspects of a task or situation to ensure accuracy and efficiently.
Basic computer literacy, data and keyboard entry, communication skills and hand-eye coordination required, ERP knowledge, SAP preferred.
Unexpired Puerto Rico driver’s license, at least Category 3, is required since the position requires driving a motor vehicle as usual and integral part of the job.
Prior knowledge of CGMP and ISO regulations is desirable.
Must always wear safety shoes and safety PPE (personal protective equipment) as required during working hours.
Detail-oriented, have strong organizational skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Basic verbal, written and comprehension in English as a second language.
Basic inventory management in a manufacturing or warehouse setting, preferred.
Basic knowledge in inventory management software/systems; experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory tracking and data entry.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Qualifications/ Background Experiences
High school diploma or GED
Minimum of (2) two years or more of previous experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or a related field in the medical device, pharmaceutical or electronic industry, preferred.
