As a CoStar Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for the testing and verification of software systems. QA Engineers utilize a combination of functional testing methods, automated testing tools and load testing tools. Typically responsible for writing test cases that ensure compliance with acceptance criteria developed during sprint planning. Are typically embedded with development teams. Ensures adequate product testing prior to each release. Responsible for tracking bugs and retesting as bugs are fixed.

This position is located in Orange County and offers the following hybrid schedule options:

  • 3 days onsite, 2 days remote

Responsibilities

  • Design API tests based on end-point contracts using Postman and Swagger

  • Ensure proper functional coverage for API Tests.

  • Author e2e integration API tests.

  • Work with an Agile SCRUM team and participate in all SCRUM ceremonies.

  • Document and triage reported API issues and track through resolution.

  • Ensures that products conform to business requirements/company policies, software quality standards, and established procedures.

  • Submits and tracks production (maintenance) and release issues in their respective systems.

  • Creates and maintains SQA deliverables including test plans, test cases, test data, project test.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited, not for profit university or college

  • A track record of commitment to prior employers

  • 6+ years of hands on experience as a technical API tester

  • Proven capacity to effectively interface with dynamic development teams

  • Experience building integration tests using tools.

  • Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem solving skills

  • Proficient with Agile testing methodologies and best practices

  • Must have strong experience with Microsoft Technologies, specifically TSQL, SQL Server and TFS/Azure DevOps.

  • Knowledge/Experience of Web development technologies including HTML, XPath, CSS, & JavaScript.

  • Excellent analytical and debugging skills with strong technical aptitude.

  • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.

  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and proactive.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Experienced in API test automation and API automation tools

  • Demonstrated experience in API test framework design and development.

  • Strong, object-oriented design and coding skills (preferably C#)

This position offers a base salary range of $95,100-$174,800, based on relevant skills and experience and includes a generous benefits plan
