Work Location : Butte, MT
Pay range : $20.00 per hour
Employment Status: Temporary (May - August full-time, 40 hours per week)
(Potential--September - December part-time, 20 hours per week)

About this position:
The intern will collaborate with engineers and supervisors within the Substation department. NWE is in the process of completing the Facilities Rating requirement for the Electric Transmission system. FAC 008 data gathering and validation will be the primary responsibility of the intern. Drawing review to identify equipment ratings and Cascade data involvement will also be assigned to the intern. Other responsibilities could also include drawing peer reviews for staff engineers .

Be introduced to the field of protective relaying and protection philosophies
Learn software packages such as Aspen One-Liner and SEL ACSelerator
Develop knowledge about the electric transmission system and how it works
Participate in organizational work meetings

Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills
Engineering major required; Electrical Engineer major highly preferred
Student must have completed Sophomore level or higher by start date
Must be in good academic standing
