A General Laborer is responsible for operating and maintaining various machines and tools, load and unload frequently heavy materials, and follow directions from supervisor and other skilled trades men. Wage is based on experience. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform essential duties as listed below to include but are not limited to.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Operates multiple equipment/tools efficiently.Help equipment operators, and other skilled labor when necessaryPreparation of Construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazardsLoad or unload construction materialsRemove, fill, or compact earthFollow instructions from supervisorsAbility to communicate effectively with the supervisor.Perform organizing, cleaning and inventory of work areas.Works safely within the guidelines set forth by OSHA and the companies’ safety policy.
