Aston Carter Logistics Planner in Burr Ridge, Illinois

Description:

  • Maintain and oversee the functionality of the operations which includes, purchasing, keeping the systems updated etc. and order management -Handles and owns the logistical coordination of all orders - Interface with customers -Forecasting products, materials and shipments (departure of shipment from site to arrival to customer) -Communicate with customers on shipments, expediting orders, invoices, etc. -Communicate with vendors and negotiate pricing - Conduct job responsibilities in accordance with company ISO 9001 program tasks while adhering to customer needs. - Supervise team members, providing guidance and support to enhance productivity. -Work with manufacturing manager on scheduling of production jobs. - Report on logistics (current updates, where orders are in/out, time of arrivals, etc. -Consolidate incoming international shipments and track urgent shipments weekly. - Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve overall efficiency. -Support the team with invoicing, generating statements where needed, answering questions around billing, etc. -NEEDS to be able to wear multiple hats around Logistics, Procurement, and service.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

-Bachelors degree - Logistics or Procurement highly preferred. - Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is required for effective communication. - Familiarity with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and business operations. - Knowledge of ISO 9001 - Prior experience with MRP systems and logistics knowledge. - Fluent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
