Job Title: Warehouse Specialist

Job Description

The Warehouse Specialist is a functional role that includes distribution order picking, stocking, packaging, and other material handling and inventory control tasks to ensure timely and accurate shipments are made to our customers. This position requires the team member to have the flexibility and willingness to work in any environment within the warehouse operations. Additionally, the Warehouse Specialist may be required to learn, perform, and/or be proficient within other areas of warehouse operations, take on advanced responsibilities, and train others.

Responsibilities

  • Package and palletize orders

  • Load and unload trucks

  • Process stock transfers and material requests

  • Replenish production and warehouse as directed

  • Timely process physical and ERP goods movements and receipts, including documentation and physical condition verification

  • Assist in timely returns processing

  • Support cycle counting activities

  • Complete confirmations, backflushing, and work order goods receipts

  • Label orders for shipment including dangerous goods, international, and carrier paperwork and/or labels; certifications provided when needed

  • Complete verifications of items picked for accuracy and condition

  • Generate work orders and sales orders from ERP

  • Assist in orientation and cross-training of Warehouse Associates

  • Assist Warehouse Associates in troubleshooting issues as they arise, escalating to warehouse leadership appropriately

Essential Skills

  • Experience with order picking, packaging, kitting, and palletizing

  • Proficiency in using RF scanners and pallet jacks

  • Inventory control knowledge

  • Material handling skills

  • Ability to stock, ship, and receive goods

  • Attention to detail for labeling and processing shipments

  • Experience with ERP systems for generating work and sales orders

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Certifications for handling dangerous goods and international shipments

  • Experience in training and orienting new team members

  • Troubleshooting skills for warehouse operations

Work Environment

The work environment for this position is a combination of warehouse and manufacturing settings. As a manufacturer and distributor of products and supplies, the incumbent will be exposed to various temperatures, fumes, and loud noise in the manufacturing setting. The incumbent must be able to tolerate some exposure to these workplace characteristics and follow company safety procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment as required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burnsville, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
