Job Description

Join our team where you will play a key role in project teams as the Purchasing Responsible (PR). The PR will lead sourcing activities during the design and development of various project types, including New Product Introduction (NPI), plant transfers, savings initiative (RPP), and maintenance projects.

As a PR, you will:

  • Create, manage, and track purchasing project plan and all activities within responsibility throughout the project and ensure project teams and management are kept informed of project status, risks, and uncertainties in a timely manner.

  • Be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing all assigned tasks to meet project deadlines.

  • Ensure supplier selection for components and/ or products is according to supplier strategy.

  • Quote, negotiate, and award business on all components/ products assigned for project development.

  • Be responsible for the preparation and execution of all awarding’s of new parts within project scope.

  • Be responsible for initiating, negotiating, and managing all contracts and agreements through closure.

  • Be responsible for monitoring and ensuring targets are met (Quality, cost, and part availability) throughout the project timeline for all purchased components/products.

  • Ensure material availability throughout project development and ensure sufficient production capacity at supplier for serial delivery after SOP.

  • Be responsible that all parts/products meet sample approval requirements and documentation for component/product releases.

  • Be responsible for Quality Gate (QG) preparation and approval and ensure all requirement activities are met and on time for project schedules and deliverables.

  • Develop strong relationships with vendors.

  • Support innovation scouting, market research and benchmarks needed in innovation projects.

  • Stay up-to-date with state-of-the-art technology

  • As purchasing responsible, you will be responsible for all of the purchasing/souring activities throughout the development of the project. You will lead a group of stakeholders (Technical buyer(s) and Quality representatives) and ensure all purchasing activities are completed on time and meeting Bosch requirements defined in the Bosch processes and guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent in Business, Supply Chain, Mechanical or Electronic Engineering or a related field; or equivalent industry work experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Supply Chain

  • Ability to travel up to 25% Domestically or Internationally

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams

  • Background in an ERP system a plus (SAP preferred)

  • Can demonstrate strong negotiation skills

  • Knowledge and experience in various commodities and markets.

  • New product sourcing or project/program management experience

  • Knowledge of supply chain activities and logistics

  • Functional knowledge of Mechanical parts, Electrical parts, and manufacturing processes

  • Show a strong demonstration of Project Management skills including: Effective communication, time management, futuristic thinking, risk management, critical thinking, organization, multitasking skills and problem solving skills.

  • Ability to establish own targets, priorities, and deadlines
