Posting Summary

Lead Technology Services projects and initiatives that support the strategic mission of the Larner College of Medicine through research and education. Responsible for developing, analyzing, implementing and managing a technology training program (for faculty and staff) and a documentation plan for existing and future services offered by the LCOM Technology Services department. Manage large projects or processes that span outside of the LCOM Technology Services department. Act as a liaison with external collaborators, evaluating requirements gathering, define scope and objectives of approved projects in order to translate business requirements into technology requirements. Guide efforts in training LCOM community members where research, education and the integration of technology solutions support data-driven decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Bachelor’s degree in education, technology or related field and four to five years of experience to include extensive knowledge of education technology, training, and information systems. Additional demonstrated experience in designing technical documentation and/or large-scale training programs using adult learning methodologies. Project management leadership experience.

Desirable Qualifications

Master’s degree in education, technology or related field. Demonstrated knowledge of universal design and inclusive practices for instructional/training materials. Experience working with an academic medical center. Excellent communication skills. Demonstrated experience designing and developing interactive educational tools.

Anticipated Pay Range 67,000 - 77,000

Other Information

Special Conditions Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position
