Posting Summary

The Program Coordinator oversees the UVM Study CATS Program, a university-wide academic intervention program which provides support for first year students whose GPA is 2.3 or lower, and who will benefit from additional directed intervention. The Program Coordinator teaches the required course focused on growth mindset, executive function and academic skills, and increasing student utilization of targeted university resources. The Program Coordinator communicates with eligible and enrolled students, their academic student services staff, the Registrar and other student support services staff across campus. They also manage educational and administrative components of the Study CATS program, including curriculum development, course scheduling and enrollment, assessment and reporting. The Program Coordinator is supervised by the Director of the Center for Academic Success.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Bachelor’s degree AND at least three (3) years of experience in a higher education setting supporting student academic success; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved. Experience working with a wide range of stakeholders, developing and implementing successful student support programs including administrative coordination, working with a team, delivering educational workshops or instruction and providing direct student support. Ability to work independently and effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, support student growth and development, communicate effectively orally, in writing, and utilizing a range of online platforms and tools.

Desirable Qualifications

Anticipated Pay Range $58,000-$60,000

Special Conditions Bargaining unit position, A probationary period may be required, Contingent on continued funding, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), Background Check required for this position
