Posting Summary
The STEM Scholars Program Manager at the University of Vermont will lead a cohort-based learning community for STEM majors, focusing on promoting inclusion and excellence in STEM fields. This role involves coordinating both the academic year programming and a six-week Summer Bridge experience for incoming students.
The Program Manager will report to the Associate Director of Strategic Initiatives and Assessment and work in collaboration with the Assistant Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, overseeing curriculum development, budgeting, and co-curricular programming. The role also involves collaboration with the Howard Hughes Medical Institute ( HHMI ) leadership team to support a campus-wide initiative aimed at fostering intergroup dialogue and improving campus climate.
Key responsibilities include program leadership, academic support, and involvement in marketing, recruitment, and assessment activities.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Master’s degree or three to five years of residence life, learning community, (or equivalent) and supervisory experiences are required. Ability to demonstrate commitment to diversity, social justice, and fostering a collaborative multicultural environment. Experience working with STEM -based residential programs and cohort-based programs.
Desirable Qualifications
Anticipated Pay Range $50,000 - $62,000

Special Conditions Weekend work required, Non-standard work hours required, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, A probationary period may be required, Contingent on continued funding, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, Background Check required for this position
