Description

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Cost Accountant. The main role of this position is to maintain project and work in process costing, create and modify Power BI reports, and manage our job costing system.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintaining project and work in process costing for new projects and fixed assets

• Serving as the internal expert on our software system and interfacing with our external support group on issues or enhancements

• Creating and modifying Power BI reports as needed

• Managing our job costing system or similar accounting functions

• Leveraging experience with ERP solutions to effectively manage the system

• Utilizing strong systems and cost analysis skills to ensure accurate and efficient job costing

• Contributing to our small team culture by demonstrating a willingness to jump in as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Job Cost Accounting.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and ERP Solutions.

• Demonstrated experience in handling Accounting Functions.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Cost Accounting and Cost Analysis is essential.

• Familiarity with Power BI for data analysis and visualization.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certifications are considered a plus.
