Meta Software Engineer, Health Technologies - Reality Labs in Burlingame, California

But together, we're getting closer.The Health Technologies team mission is to discover, develop, and deliver clinically validated health and wellness tools that have the opportunity to improve public health outcomes, at Meta scale. We are seeking a lead engineer with a background in health sensing algorithms and deployment in low powered devices. You will build 0 to 1 products in the health sensing space working with a team of ML, Signal Processing, Clinical Research and Systems Engineers. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, and demonstrated experience in designing and shipping 0 to 1 health algorithms.

Required Skills:

Software Engineer, Health Technologies - Reality Labs Responsibilities:

  1. Drive the organization goal towards innovating and building a range of health-related systems

  2. Effectively communicate to leadership teams and the industry partners complex features & systems

  3. Understand industry and Facebook wide technology trends in computing technology to help assess & develop new technologies for health technologies

  4. Suggest, collect and synthesize requirements and create an effective feature roadmap

  5. Adapt standard machine learning and computer vision pipelines to best exploit mobile computing units (e.g. GPU, DSP)

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  2. Masters in computer science, computer engineering, or relevant technical field

  3. 3+ years of experience with computer vision, machine learning, neural networks and signal processing

  4. Highly experienced leading consumer low powered based projects with industry-wide impact

  5. Experience building relationships and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive solutions

  6. Experience in mentoring/influencing senior engineers across organizations

  1. 4+ years of experience with computer vision, machine learning, neural networks and signal processing

  2. Experience with algorithm design and deployment for health sensing features on low powered devices and knowledge of human physiology

  3. Experience building 0 to 1 products supporting teams from conception through delivery of health sensing features at scale

Public Compensation:

$70.67/hour to $208,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
