Description

We are looking for a meticulous Payroll Accountant to join our team. This role is located in Burlingame, California, and offers a short-term contract employment opportunity. As a Payroll Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate data entry for payroll cycle runs, creating and managing reports, reviewing timesheets for accuracy, and providing support for month-end close tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize knowledge of various accounting software systems and ADP for financial services.

• Use ADP Workforce Now and Bamboo for various accounting functions.

• Ensure all data is correctly entered for the payroll cycle runs.

• Generate and manage reports using spreadsheets, including Excel.

• Review timesheets to ensure accuracy before submission.

• Provide support for month-end close tasks, including reconciliations.

• Handle ad hoc projects as assigned.

• Conduct auditing tasks as required.

Please note that knowledge of Bamboo is required for this role, and experience with ADP is also essential.

Requirements

• Proficiency in using Bamboo for payroll management.

• Must possess a minimum of three years of experience in payroll accounting.

• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems.

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is essential.

• Experience with ADP Workforce Now is required.

• Ability to perform various accounting functions efficiently.

• Sound knowledge of auditing principles and practices.

• Must have excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

• Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to work under pressure.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is preferred.

• Professional certification such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is a plus.
