The Job
The Global Content Pipeline Planning team partners with the Streaming and Networks Programming, Scheduling and Production teams to obtain insight into and align with their strategic Long Form and Ancillary content plans to create an up-to-date global content pipeline plan that guides GCM and GCO CoE’s operational business decisions for our major markets, US, Canada, LATAM, EMEA and APAC. In addition, based on the global content pipeline plan, this team will support the respective CoE’s, including Finance with the global content
customization plans, requirements, associated budgets, forecasts and actuals.
The Daily – Major Activities
Global Content Pipeline Framework:
In collaboration with various cross-functional teams (P&S, GCO & MSC), create, implement and maintain a tactical global content pipeline framework (short and long form content) that will meet the strategic needs of this function in the short term.
Partner with GCO & MSC to create, implement and maintain an effective and efficient global content pipeline framework, workflows and processes that will support sustainable, functional and scalable content pipeline activities, such as content prioritisation, regional requirements, technical specifications, priority, and associated content customisation budget management (planning, forecast and actual).
Pro-active Pipeline Planning:
Partner with Global and Regional Streaming and Network programming & scheduling teams, including regional Content Management teams to maintain an up-to-date prioritised Global Content Pipeline plan for short and long form content that generates operational localisation and distribution availability demand signals for GCO CoE and GCM teams as far in advance as possible (from production greenlight).
In partnership with the regional Content Management teams, obtain global view of regional Streaming and Network content plans, priorities and requirements and specifically identify and operationalise Networks and Streaming D&D & non-D&D content
customisation requirements (dubbing, subtitling, AD, CC etc.) as per the various regional content requirements.
GCO Center of Excellence Partnerships:
Based on Streaming and Network programming priorities, partner with the relevant GCO Center of Excellence (CoE’s) functions, such as Global Title and Metadata Governance, Acquisition and QC, Localisation, and Creative Services, to allow for global day & date content in all required languages.
Engage with Production Partners, 3rd Party Studios and our Studios Production Finance and Production Deliverables CoE’s to define content delivery plans, readiness dates and agreed/contracted deliverables, based on what is being produced, when and where and for which markets, territories and rights.
Content Strategy Alignment:
- Engaging with Content Strategy, Planning and Scheduling to align on and plan for platform schedule dates and agreed publication strategy based on production and readiness dates and agreed/contracted deliverables.
Global Master & Tech Spec Requirements:
- In collaboration with global Streaming & Network partners and respective CoE’s, provide guidance to the business as it relates to global masters and required technical quality (4k/UHD etc.) for pipeline content.
GCM Content Customisation Budget Management
Global Content Customisation Forecast & Analysis Framework - In collaboration with various cross-functional teams (GCO CoE’s and Finance), create, implement and maintain a tactical global content customisation budget planning, forecast and analysis framework (Long Form and Ancillary content) that will meet the strategic needs of this function.
Based on the Global and Regional Content Pipeline plans and associated content requirements (volume, customisation requirements and associated costs), partner with regional Content Management, Finance and GCO CoE’s to ensure accurate budget planning, obtain required approvals and support accurate content management reporting (forecast vs actuals) as it pertains to the various regions.
Based on the regional and global content requirements, engage with Provide the Localisation CoE and Finance team with required localisation production forecasts to support financial planning (cost & recoupment opportunities throughout the content lifecycle - EST, PPV, TVOD, Streaming & Broadcast)
The Essentials
10+ years experience within content planning, post-production, production finance and/or project management diciplines (long & short form content)
Sound understanding of the production, post-production and global localization processes and requirements
Relevant degree
Established professional network within US production, and the ability engage and collaborate with senior executives, and cross-functional discipline's (legal, finance, production, post-production and distribution) to achieve the desired outcomes.
Finance & budget management - managed production, postproduction and localization production budgets (volume, budgets – forecast & actual)

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $166,600.00 - $309,400.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
