CONTROLLER/ACCOUNTING MANAGER - Family Owned & Operated Healthcare Organization in Buford

My client, a dynamic and growing organization, is seeking an experienced Controller/Accounting Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of their accounting and financial operations. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial operations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, bank reconciliation, credit card expense report reconciliation, and payroll.

• Deliver timely and accurate financial processing, month-end close, cash management reports, and balance sheet reconciliation.

• Oversee cash management, including performing wire transfers, ACH payments, and maintaining lines of credit.

• Maintain professional banking relationships.

• Determine internal audit scope and develop annual audit plans.

• Review payroll taxes and ensure timely payment of payroll and corporate taxes through the payroll service.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, bank reports, and detailed analysis reports.

• Maintain files and comply with record retention requirements.

• Manage the accounting team, including hiring and terminations.

• Negotiate and oversee the company’s insurance policies (e.g., physical damage, liability, worker’s compensation) and manage the claims submission process.

• Meet with benefit program agencies annually to review costs and benefits.

  Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounting/Finance.

• MBA or CPA certification preferred.

• Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

• Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills.

• Excellent analytical and reasoning abilities with superior numeric skills.

• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Result and profit-oriented with the ability to balance multiple business considerations and manage complex projects.

• Highly motivated with the ability to work independently and multitask.

• Detail-oriented with a strong ability to manage and direct employees.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.

• Experience with NetSuite accounting software is a plus.
