The Hertz Corporation Staff Product Manager - Mobile App in Buffalo, New York

A Day in the Life:

As a Staff Product Manager for Hertz’s mobile app, you are responsible for driving mobile app adoption globally, which is a billion+ business unit. You will be partnering with engineering teams to build scalable solutions and ship features in a complex environment. You will contend with challenges such as modernizing legacy applications, managing technical debt, and integrating with various systems to enhance customer experience.

What you will do:

  • Define and prioritize product features that will enable the growth and scale of Hertz’s Product initiatives, which are based on the major priorities of the business.

  • Execute against long-term product roadmap, coordinating with operations, engineering, design, and data science teams both domestically and internationally.

  • Work closely with the strategy, operations, and go to market teams to ensure there is a consistent and holistic approach from pilot to scaled solutions.

  • Communicate across constituencies: within cross-functional team, broadly within Hertz internally and external to Hertz (partners, investors, candidates, etc.)

  • Ensure that we have a consistent customer focus in our research, planning and decision making

  • Articulate and systematically test product hypotheses

  • Navigate complex decision-making using product data and key performance indicators

  • Identify and implement metrics for estimating the impact of changes to the existing risk management platforms and tools.

What We're Looking For:

  • 8+ years of experience in the technology industry, and a B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent

  • Proven experience in mobile app development, including knowledge of iOS and Android platforms

  • Ability to own product strategy, roadmap, and execution for a mobile app of significant complexity

  • Ability to identify meaningful components of competitive analysis that inform decisions for the mobile app portfolio and roadmaps

  • Ability to impact areas outside of immediate scope, especially in cross-functional initiatives

  • Strong communication skills. You must be able to work with cross-functional partners to gather requirements and explain outcomes

  • Strong product sense. You must be able to align your work with business objectives and make appropriate tradeoffs

  • Learning mentality. You must be able to pick up new skills as needed and demonstrate a curiosity about new technologies

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and mobile app lifecycle management

We expect the starting salary to be around $180,000 to $210,000 with annual bonus eligibility. The actual salary will be determined based on years of relevant work experience.
